Booking Terms

These Booking Terms apply to every dock reservation requested through YatHub, alongside the Terms of Use and the cancellation policy shown at the time of booking. They are linked from the booking form so you can read them before you request a stay.

1. Your reservation covers the yacht you booked

A dock reservation is granted for the specific vessel described in your booking request — its name and dimensions (length overall, and beam and draft where provided). Dock space is allocated by size, so the booked vessel is what the owner has reserved space for. A reservation may not be transferred to a different vessel, and a dock booked for one vessel may not be used by another.

2. Tenders

A tender or dinghy is included in your reservation when you declare it in your booking request and provide its length. Undeclared tenders may not be accommodated. Tenders must be smaller than the main vessel and no longer than 35 feet unless agreed in writing.

3. If the arriving vessel differs from the booking

The dimensions you submit determine both the fit and the price. If the vessel that arrives is larger than the vessel booked, or an undeclared tender arrives, the dock may not physically accommodate it and the owner may decline the stay. Where the stay proceeds, YatHub reserves the right to charge the difference in price for the actual vessel size, plus a change fee of 3% of the final reservation total. Please update your booking before arrival if your plans change — amendments made in advance are not subject to the change fee.

4. Accuracy of vessel information

You are responsible for the accuracy of the vessel details you submit, including length, beam, draft, and shore-power requirements. Owners rely on this information to confirm the berth is safe and suitable. Vessel details recorded on a submitted booking are retained as part of the booking record.

5. Availability, approval, and cancellation

Submitting a request is not a confirmed reservation: dock availability, pricing, utilities, depth, access, and suitability are not guaranteed until confirmed. Every reservation is billed at a minimum of $150 of dockage. If your stay comes to less, the difference is shown on your quote as a reservation minimum before you request. Cancellation and refund terms are those presented to you at the time of booking and frozen with your reservation.

6. Extending a stay, and monthly stays

To stay longer, you request the extra nights and they become a new booking at the rates then in effect, with its own agreement to sign. Your existing booking is not changed or re-priced. There is no date change: if you need different dates rather than more of them, cancel under the policy above and book again. For a stay of one month or longer, a renewal must be confirmed at least 14 days before your current term ends, and after two full months either you or the dock owner may end the arrangement on 30 days' written notice.

7. Insurance and identification

Every booking asks you to upload a certificate of insurance for the vessel and a photo ID to your reservation before you arrive. The dock owner reviews each one and may accept it, refuse it with a reason, or waive it for that stay. Until you have uploaded both, the reservation is not cleared for arrival and the owner may refuse the berth. It is the owner who decides whether what you sent is sufficient for their dock: YatHub does not review or assess these documents, does not check that a policy is valid, in force, or adequate, and does not insure the vessel, the dock, or anyone at them.

8. Taxes

No sales tax is collected on this booking. Any tax due is the responsibility of the dock owner.
