Privacy Policy

YatHub LLC ("YatHub", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights regarding that information. By using our platform, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide when you create an account, submit a form, or use our services, including:

  • Account information: name, email address, phone number, company or vessel name, account type, and password (stored securely and never readable by us)
  • Vessel profile: length overall (LOA), beam, draft, shore power requirements, liveaboard status, tender status, and preferred docking area and dates
  • Dock listing data (for dock owners): dock address, dimensions, amenities, pricing, photos, and legal documents
  • Inquiry and communication data: messages, booking requests, and correspondence with dock owners or YatHub staff
  • Usage data: pages visited, features used, timestamps, and IP addresses
  • Crew and employment data: work history, certifications, qualifications, and job application content

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Create and manage your account and dashboard
  • Match your vessel to suitable private docks based on your vessel profile
  • Facilitate inquiries and bookings between renters and dock owners
  • Send transactional emails (confirmations, replies, notifications)
  • Contact you about your account, listings, or service requests
  • Provide customer support and respond to questions
  • Improve our platform and prevent fraud or misuse
  • Comply with applicable law

3. Sharing Your Information

We share your information only as necessary to operate the platform:

  • Dock owners: When you submit an inquiry or a booking request, the dock owner is shown your name, your vessel details, and the dates you asked for. Your email address and phone number are NOT shared at that point, and any contact details inside your message are removed before the owner sees them. You reply to each other through YatHub. Your email address and phone number are shared with the dock owner only once your booking is accepted and paid for, so that they can reach you about your stay. At that same moment you are given the dock’s street address and exact location.
  • Other dock owners and other guests never receive your contact details. They are shared only with the owner of the dock you actually booked.
  • Infrastructure providers: We use Supabase (database and authentication), Resend (transactional email) and Stripe (payments). These providers process data on our behalf under data processing agreements and do not use your data for their own purposes. When you pay for a booking, your card details go directly to Stripe. YatHub never sees or stores your card number. Partner channel: some dock listings are supplied by FoxStays Docks, a separate company. If you enquire about or book one of those docks, the details you provide (your name, email, phone, vessel details, dates and message) are sent to that company so they can respond to you. They are the dock operator for those listings and handle your enquiry directly. This is the one case where your contact details are passed on before a booking is accepted, and it is because that company, not YatHub, is the party answering you.
  • Website hosting: Vercel hosts the website, so every request your browser makes to the site reaches a Vercel server.
  • AI that fills forms in for you: some import and auto-fill buttons send what you give them to Anthropic so the details can be pulled out and filled in for you. That covers a CV or profile link for a crew profile, a business website or description for a vendor profile, and a document, photo, web page or pasted text for a dock, yacht, marina, job or property listing. Whatever is inside what you upload goes with it, including a street address or a phone number. Nothing you store with us is sent to Anthropic unless you press one of those buttons, with one exception: once a week we send a review of overall site activity that contains counts only, with no names, emails or other personal details in it.
  • Analytics and maps: where site analytics is switched on we use Google Analytics, and it loads only if you accept cookies. See our Cookie Policy (/legal/cookie-policy). Any page showing a map loads the map images from OpenStreetMap, so your browser contacts OpenStreetMap on those pages.
  • We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account and profile data for as long as your account is active. Inquiry and lead records are retained for business and legal purposes. You may request deletion at any time.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), server-side authentication via Supabase, and row-level access controls on all stored data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@yathub.com. We will respond within 30 days. California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA.

7. Children

YatHub is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, please contact privacy@yathub.com and we will delete it.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management, and may use analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. See our Cookie Policy (/legal/cookie-policy) for details.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a revised date. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
